Which AI assistants does AI Conduit work with?
AI Conduit works with any AI assistant that supports the Model Context Protocol (MCP) including Claude Desktop and Claude Code. MCP is an open standard, and more AI tools are adding support for it regularly.
Is my WordPress data safe?
Yes. AI Conduit is read-only by design – your AI assistant can look up data but can never add, edit, or delete anything on your site. You also control exactly which roles can access which data, and every request is logged so you always know what was accessed.
Can I control exactly what data the AI can see?
Absolutely. You use the drag-and-drop builder to define each tool, selecting which content types, fields, categories, and filters to expose. Nothing is accessible to your AI assistant unless you explicitly enable it.
Do I need to pay for anything to use this?
AI Conduit itself is completely free. You will need an AI assistant (such as Claude) to connect to it, which may have its own subscription cost but no additional fees or API keys are required on the WordPress side.
What types of WordPress data can I expose?
Out of the box, AI Conduit supports posts and custom post types, users, comments, and site settings. Developers can also build add-ons to expose data from other plugins such as WooCommerce orders, MemberPress memberships, or LearnDash course records.
Can developers add support for other plugins?
Yes. AI Conduit includes a developer API that lets you register new data types for any WordPress plugin without modifying the core plugin files. It is designed to be extended.
